Students in the Service-Learning ARC live together in a residence hall all year. But not just any residence hall! Newly remodeled res life buildings incorporate classroom and study spaces into the living spaces for students. Some dorms will have a soundproof practice room and grand piano (like our neighbors the music ARC); some are located close to cultural resources (such as the Kalapuya Illihi ARC that is near the Longhouse).

Our building had a demonstration kitchen, student lounge spaces, and a large classroom space that we used for events. We even got our own student space within the wing, where we could have seminars, watch movies together, do our projects, and store our materials.
